The Other Side Of The Desk is story about a chronic pain specialist (author, Stuart Donaldson, PhD) who became a chronic pain patient and his advice for chronic pain suffers. Dr. Donaldson is a world-renowned chronic pain specialist, and he invites the reader into his journey through the medical system with his family and friends and through his emotional and spiritual health after he experienced chronic pain himself. After a fall on ice, his pain spread, and he was diagnosed with many different disorders, operated on, and invited into many different intervention practices. Having had this unfortunate and debilitating experience, Dr. Donaldson, learned about the best practices and alternative treatments, and he developed a treatment plan for his chronic pain patients in Calgary, Canada that is based upon his unique and intimate experiences with pain.
